Nestled in the heart of Rancho Santa Fe, this residential transformation seamlessly blends Mediterranean elegance with rugged, earthy charm. The design focuses on creating a high-end "outdoor living room" that feels like a natural extension of the home.

The space is anchored by a massive stone masonry fireplace, which serves as a striking focal point and a gathering spot for cool California evenings. Above, a custom-crafted heavy timber pergola provides architectural structure and dappled shade, defining the lounge area without obstructing the surrounding views.

To ensure the landscape remains beautiful and sustainable, we utilized a drought-tolerant plant palette. Fragrant lavender, ornamental grasses, and Mediterranean species were carefully selected to provide lush texture and seasonal color while remaining water-wise. The result is a sophisticated yet relaxed sanctuary that perfectly captures the "Rustic Chic" aesthetic.
