Responsible for providing graphic and multimedia support for the Web & Collaboration Services team, consisting of roughly 40 individuals. W&CS team provides support for SAIC's intranet which serves over 40,000 employees as well as the public facing corporate web site.

Gateway, Inc.
August 2001 - March 2005
Web Producer / Interface Designer / Information Architect
Worked within a team to produce web sites for Gateway business clients. Graphic & Interface design for the web, CSS & HTML layout, information design, etc. Also moderated several usability studies and information architecture sessions for the redesign of the B2B extranet applications which served over 3000 of Gateway's largest business customers. This represented 250MM in annual revenue to Gateway, with over 1 million profiled customers.

I am primarly focused on human factors related endeavors which include interaction design, usability testing, and interface prototyping. I'm a firm believer in the 1/10/100 rule, 1 hour to fix something in the wireframe phase, 10 in design phase, and 100 in production. So my goal is to always vet my designs up front and early to ensure efficiency, and most importantly to ensure the design meets the goals of the business and is thoroughly understandable by the end user.
